Vivo Y28s 5G Rumoured to Launch in India as a Budget Offering

Vivo recently unveiled the Vivo Y28s 5G with MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC in select markets last month. While the company has not confirmed its availability in India yet, a reliable tipster has shared some interesting details about the pricing of this latest addition to the Vivo Y series.

According to a report by 91Mobiles, the Vivo Y28s 5G is expected to be priced at Rs. 13,999 in India for the base model with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. The 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB variants are rumored to be priced at Rs. 15,499 and Rs. 16,999, respectively.

Comparatively, in Malaysia, the Vivo Y28s 5G is listed at RM 799 (approximately Rs. 14,000) for the 12GB + 128GB storage model and RM 999 (around Rs. 18,000) for the 16GB + 256GB storage model. This suggests that the handset could be priced around Rs. 15,000 in India. It will be available in Mocha Brown and Twinkling Purple color options.

Moving on to the specifications, the Vivo Y28s 5G runs on Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14 and features a 6.56-inch HD+ LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate.
