Titan Comics Unveils English Release of UFO Robot Grendizer Comic in September

Titan Comics has recently revealed exciting news for fans of the French UFO Robot Grendizer franchise, originally created by Go Nagai. In September, the English version of UFO Robo Grendizer will hit the shelves, with four single issues planned. The first issue will be an oversized 50-page extravaganza, followed by subsequent issues around 30 pages each. The talented team behind this project includes writer Xavier Dorison and artists Denis Bajram, Brice Cossu, Alexis Sentenac, and Yoann Guillo. Additionally, there are several eye-catching variant covers for the first issue featuring artwork by Derrick Chew, Bajram, Takeshi Miyazawa, Colm Griffin, and Bajram UFO Robot Blueprint.

But what can readers expect from this new series? The war between the Vega forces and Grendizer may be a distant memory, but a powerful Saucer Beast known as THE HYDRAGON threatens the peace. Pilot Duke Fleed must rise to the occasion, reactivating the mighty robot Grendizer to save the world once again from the Ruin Division’s imminent threat.

Furthermore, Kana released the comic in France under the title Goldorak in October 2021. This marks the latest addition to Nagai’s Mazinger franchise, following the iconic Mazinger Z and Great Mazinger. Originally debuting in 1975, Grendizer quickly became a fan favorite, inspiring multiple anime films and adaptations.

In related news, Microids and Dynamic Planning announced the action game UFO Robot Grendizer: The Feast of the Wolves in 2021, with a release on various platforms. Additionally, a new television anime titled Grendizer U is set to premiere in 2024, serving as a reboot of the classic 1975-1977 series. The anime is scheduled to air on TV Tokyo, starting July 5th.

With these exciting developments on the horizon, fans of Grendizer are in for a treat as they delve into the beloved world of giant robots and intergalactic battles. Stay tuned for more updates on this thrilling saga as it unfolds in the coming months.
