The 2024 edition of Otakon has some exciting guests lined up for the event. Studio Trigger president Masahiko Otsuka, along with animators Aoi Abe and Sae Ōtani, will be in attendance. Otsuka, a veteran in the anime industry, co-founded Studio Trigger and has worked on popular titles like Kill la Kill and Gurren Lagann.
Abe, known for her work on Delicious in Dungeon and Little Witch Academia, will also be present at the event. Similarly, Ōtani, another talented animator, has contributed to projects such as Cyberpunk: Edgerunners and BNA: Brand New Animal.
In addition to these guests, Otakon 2024 will host Frontier Works producer Norihiro Kurosawa, anime director Takahide Ogata, light novel author Kurokata, and voice actor Kentarō Itō. They will be discussing The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic anime.
Attendees can also look forward to meeting BL manga artist Kyōko Aiba, rock band FLOW, and manga artist Hinoki Kino. Voice actors Hideo Ishikawa and Uki Satake, along with director Hiroshi Nagahama, will grace the event with their presence.
Furthermore, the staff of CG anime Studio Orange, including CG director Akihiko Orikasa, director Kensuke Yamamoto, producer Yoshihiro Watanabe, and chief producer Kiyotaka Waki, will be part of the lineup.
Otakon 2024 is scheduled to take place from August 2-4 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. With a diverse array of guests and activities planned, this year’s event promises to be an exciting experience for anime enthusiasts.
