Shin-chan Film’s Trailer Reveals Dinosaur Theme Song


The 31st 2D animated film in the Crayon Shin-chan franchise, titled “Eiga Crayon Shin-chan: Ora-tachi no Kyōryū Nikki” (Crayon Shin-chan the Movie: Our Dinosaur Diary), has released a new trailer and poster visual. The film’s theme song, “Omoide o Kakenukete” (Run Past Your Memories) by the rock band My Hair is Bad, is previewed in the trailer. Directed by Shinobu Sasaki, the film is set to premiere in Japan on August 9.

The story revolves around the friendship between the Nobara family’s pet dog Shiro and a small dinosaur, which aids in the growth of Shinnosuke and the Kasukabe Defense Squad. Takumi Kitamura guest stars as Billy, a biology researcher, while comedians Yū Hatanaka and Shunsuke Itō appear as Chū and Ammoner Itō, respectively.

Moral, known for scripting the Crayon Shin-chan TV series, has written the screenplay for the film. The previous installment, “Shin Jigen! Crayon Shin-chan The Movie,” marked the franchise’s first 3D CG anime film and became the highest-earning anime film in the franchise. Additionally, “Eiga Crayon Shin-chan Mononoke Ninja Chinpūden,” the series’ 30th 2D animated film, opened in Japan in April 2022.

With a mix of lovable characters, engaging storyline, and catchy theme song, “Eiga Crayon Shin-chan: Ora-tachi no Kyōryū Nikki” promises to be a delightful addition to the beloved franchise.
