Prabhas’ Flop ‘Adipurush’ Tops Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Pathaan’ in Record-breaking Box Office Numbers

Prabhas and Shah Rukh Khan are two of the biggest names in the Indian film industry, known for their blockbuster hits. However, a recent list of highest-grossing films on the first day has some surprising entries that have caught the attention of fans and critics alike.

One film that stands out on the list is Prabhas’ biggest flop, ‘Adipurush’, which managed to earn an impressive Rs 127 crore on its opening day. On the other hand, Shah Rukh Khan’s highest-grossing film, ‘Jawan’, directed by Atlee, secured the seventh spot with a business of Rs 129.6 crore on day one.

The anticipation for Prabhas’ upcoming sci-fi mythological film, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, directed by Nag Ashwin, is at an all-time high. The star-studded cast, including Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone, has added to the excitement surrounding the movie. It is rumored that ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ could potentially cross the Rs 200 crore mark on its opening day, setting a new record.

While many might be surprised by this prediction, it is important to note that two South films have already achieved this feat in the past. ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’ and ‘RRR’ both crossed the Rs 200 crore mark on their respective opening days, solidifying their places in box office history.

The top 6 highest-grossing films on the first day are as follows:

1. ‘RRR’ – Rs 223 crore
2. ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’ – Rs 214.5 crore
3. ‘Salaar’ – Rs 165.3 crore
4. ‘KGF: 2’ – Rs 162.9 crore
5. ‘Leo’ – Rs 142.8 crore

It is evident that the South Indian film industry is leading the way in terms of box office success, with only two Bollywood films making it to the top 10 list of worldwide earnings on the opening day. Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna starrer ‘Animal’ and Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar’s ‘2.0’ also made it to the list, showcasing the widespread appeal of Indian cinema.

As the release of ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ approaches, all eyes will be on the box office numbers to see if it can break existing records and surpass the Rs 200 crore milestone on its opening day. With the star power and anticipation surrounding the film, it seems likely that Prabhas and his team are gearing up for another blockbuster success.
