New Cast and Premiere Date for Kimisen Season 2



Kadokawa recently unveiled a new visual, additional cast members, and the premiere date for the second season of the anime series “Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World” based on Kei Sazane and Ao Nekonabe’s light novel. The new season is set to premiere on July 10 and will feature new cast members such as Shō Hayami as Magnacasa Gunfight, Tomokazu Sugita as Sir Karosos Newton, and Kazuyuki Okitsu as Garganly.

The anime will be broadcast on various platforms starting July 10, including Tokyo MX, ABC TV, BS11, AT-X, and d-Anime Store. The second season will be directed by Yuki Inaba and Studio Palette, with Kaori Yoshikawa designing the characters. Elements Garden will compose the music, with AliA performing the opening theme song and Sizuk performing the ending theme song.

Originally scheduled for 2023, the release of the anime was postponed to July 2024, with Crunchyroll set to stream the new season. The first season premiered in October 2020, garnering positive reviews from viewers. The English dub of the anime was also made available on Funimation.

The story follows a great war between a technologically advanced Empire and the realm of magical girls, Nebulis. When the Empire’s youngest knight meets the princess of Nebulis, a unique bond forms between them despite their opposing allegiances.

The light novels and manga adaptation of the series are published by Yen Press in English, with Kadokawa releasing the novels in Japan since 2017. The manga adaptation by Okama debuted in Hakusensha’s Young Animal magazine in 2018. The spinoff series, “Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World: Secret File,” is also well-received.
