The highly anticipated anime adaptation of Jirō Sugiura’s “My Wife Has No Emotion” manga released its main promotional video this week. The video introduces the opening theme song “Okaerinasai” by VTuber Sora Tokino and the ending theme song “Wave” by singer Miisha Shimizu.
Scheduled to premiere on July 2 on Tokyo MX, MBS, and BS Asahi channels, the anime boasts a talented staff lineup. Fumihiro Yoshimura directs the series, with Mitsutaka Hirota overseeing the scripts and Zenjirou Ukulele designing the characters.
The story follows Takuma, a man who gets a robot named Mina-chan to help with household chores. As they spend more time together, their relationship deepens, sparking the question of whether a human and a robot can truly love each other.
The manga, originally serialized in Kadokawa’s Comic Flapper magazine, has been well-received, with Seven Seas Entertainment handling the English release. The seventh volume is set to be released in September.
