Hooda rallies Congress workers for state elections

In a recent meeting in Karnal, former CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda of Congress emphasized that the Lok Sabha election results were just the beginning of the political battle in Haryana. The real challenge lies ahead as the party gears up for the upcoming assembly elections in October.

Hooda, along with Rohtak MP Deepender Hooda and state party president Udaybhan, thanked party workers for their dedicated efforts in the parliamentary elections. Despite clinching victory in five of the ten Lok Sabha seats in Haryana, Congress is now focused on making headway in the state elections.

The party is strategically planning a series of meetings across different districts in Haryana to strengthen its position, particularly in the GT Road belt which includes 30 assembly seats. This region, traditionally a stronghold for former CM Manohar Lal Khattar of BJP, poses a challenge for Congress to gain support.

Udaybhan highlighted the party’s improved performance in the Lok Sabha elections, with BJP’s count decreasing from 79 to 44 in assembly segments, while Congress saw an increase from 10 to 46 leads. With a strong focus on engaging with the people, understanding their issues, and proposing solutions through people-friendly policies, Congress aims to rally support for the upcoming elections.

As the party gears up for the assembly elections, the meetings with functionaries in various districts aim to prepare party workers for the upcoming challenges. The goal is to encourage active participation, address grassroots problems, and promote the party’s agenda effectively.

Overall, the political landscape in Haryana is poised for an interesting showdown as parties gear up for the upcoming assembly elections. With Congress making strategic moves to strengthen its position and engage with the electorate, the stage is set for a fierce political battle in the state.
