The highly anticipated anime film, “Gekijōban Mononoke: Karakasa” (Paper Umbrella), released a new special trailer, showcasing the intricate world within the story. The video delves into both the “õoku” and “omote” areas, giving a glimpse of the extended cast that will bring the tale to life.

Set to hit theaters in Japan on July 26, the film introduces a stellar lineup of voice actors, with Hiroshi Kamiya taking on the role of the protagonist, the Medicine Seller. Originally slated for release last year, the production faced delays but is now back on track with a talented team behind it.

Director Kenji Nakamura returns to helm the film, which is being produced by Twin Engine. Character design is led by Kitsuneko Nagata, with Yūichi Takahashi adapting the designs for animation. The music composition is in the trusted hands of Taku Iwasaki, while animation duties are handled by EOTA.

Adding to the allure of the film is the theme song “Love Sick,” performed by the talented singer Aina The End. With a rich history stemming from the original “Mononoke” anime series in 2007, fans can expect a captivating continuation of the beloved story in this new cinematic adaptation.
