Koei Tecmo and Gust announced the upcoming release of Fairy Tail 2, a sequel role-playing game set to launch on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam in winter 2024. The game will continue the adventures of Natsu, Lucy, and other Fairy Tail guild members in the Alvarez Empire Arc, with new “Character Stories” and an original storyline titled “Key to Hidden Secrets.”
In this new installment, players will delve into events that transpire after the final battle, offering a fresh perspective on the beloved manga series. The first Fairy Tail RPG by Koei Tecmo and Gust debuted in July 2020 for PS4, Switch, and PC via Steam, albeit delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mashima’s Fairy Tail manga, which concluded in July 2017 after a successful run since 2006, has spawned various adaptations, including four TV anime series, two movies, OVA projects, and spinoff manga. With Kodansha USA Publishing handling the English releases of the original manga and its spinoffs, fans worldwide have been captivated by the enchanting world of Fairy Tail.
