Secretary of Higher Education, K Sanjay Murthy, emphasized the integrity and fairness of the exam despite allegations of irregularities and paper leaks.

Regarding the possibility of a re-exam, Murthy stated that a committee is analyzing the situation, with only 1,600 out of 23 lakh students being affected by the controversy. He highlighted that a Grievance Redressal Committee will investigate further before making a decision.

Interestingly, only one question was challenged this year, marking a historic low for NEET exams. However, the compensation of marks did not significantly impact students’ overall results. The NEET UG 2024 results were overshadowed by controversies, with approximately 67 students claiming the AIR rank 1 spot.

NEET is a crucial exam for aspiring medical and dental students across India. Despite the challenges, the Ministry of Education is committed to ensuring a transparent and fair process for all candidates. The journey towards resolving the NEET UG 2024 issues continues, with the hope of providing deserving students with a fair opportunity to pursue their dreams.
