“Construct Manga Pages in New Roguelike Game”

A new roguelike deckbuilder game based on Katsuhisa Minami’s manga “The Fable” has been announced by Kodansha Game Creators’ Lab. The game, titled “The Fable: Manga Build Roguelike,” allows players to use manga panels as cards to construct their own manga page for battles.

Players will have to strategically place panels on a page, with each panel having different effects such as attack, movement, and defense. The panels are randomly dealt each turn, challenging players to create the perfect page using their wisdom and ingenuity.

“The Fable” manga follows the story of a hitman known as The Fable, who faces the challenge of living a normal life without being able to kill anyone. The series has received critical acclaim and has inspired two live-action films and a television anime.

The original manga, which ran from 2014 to 2019, won the Best General Manga award at the 41st Kodansha awards. A sequel manga titled “The Fable: The Second Contact” was launched in 2021 and concluded in 2023, serving as the second part of the manga franchise.

The game is being developed by Mono Entertainment and is set to provide a unique gaming experience for fans of “The Fable” manga. With the original manga available in English through Kodansha USA Publishing, fans can delve deeper into the world of The Fable and experience the thrill of creating their own manga pages in the game.
