ASCA Delivers ‘Faceless’ Opening Song for ‘Bye Bye, Earth’ Anime




ASCA has been announced as the performer of the opening song “Faceless” for the anime Bye Bye, Earth, set to air on July 12. The main promotional video for the anime was unveiled on the official website. The anime will also premiere on BS NTV on July 13 and WOWOW on July 12. An advance screening of the first three episodes will take place on June 22 at United Cinemas Toyosu in Tokyo.

The anime, based on Tow Ubukata’s novel, follows the story of Bell, the only girl in a world where everyone takes the form of animals. Bell embarks on a journey to find others like her while getting entangled in conflicts between cities and the outside world. The series is directed by Yasuto Nishikata and written by Hiroyuki Yoshino, with character design by Yūki Hino and music by Kevin Penkin.

Fans can look forward to Crunchyroll, WOWOW, and Sony Pictures collaborating to produce the anime, which will be available for streaming in over 200 countries and territories. The novel Bye Bye, Earth was originally released in two volumes in 2000, receiving a new edition with illustrations by Hyung-Tae Kim from 2007 to 2008.

A manga adaptation by Ryū Asahi was serialized in Young King Ours magazine from January 2020 to July 2022, with the final volume released in September 2022. With a unique premise and talented team behind it, Bye Bye, Earth promises to be a captivating watch for anime enthusiasts worldwide.
