Lucas Moura Urges Casemiro to Leave Manchester United for ‘Dream’ Transfer

Manchester United midfielder Casemiro has received an urging from former Tottenham winger Lucas Moura to leave Old Trafford. Last season was tough for Casemiro, missing out on the FA Cup final due to injury while United tried to salvage their season. With two years left on his contract following a £60 million move from Real Madrid in 2022, the club’s new owners are looking to revamp their transfer strategy and offload Casemiro.

If United is looking for a substantial fee for the Brazilian midfielder, Saudi Arabia seems to be the only possible destination. However, Moura, who played alongside Casemiro at Sao Paulo and has since returned to the club, proposes a reunion in Brazil. “It would be a dream to play alongside one of the best midfielders in the world, created here in Cotia too,” said Moura. “Hey, let’s go back, play a little more here together, recreate that duo!”

Although Casemiro’s situation is complicated due to his contract with Manchester United, Moura remains hopeful. “He still has a lot of time left on his contract, which makes it a delicate situation. But if he wants, we’ll try to find a way here.” United is expected to be in the market for a central midfielder, regardless of Casemiro’s potential departure, with central defense also a priority following Raphael Varane’s exit.
