Live-Action ACMA:Game Series Turns Movie Sensation

The live-action television series based on Kōji Megumi and Meebu’s Acma:Game manga has come to an end, but the excitement continues with the announcement of a new film titled Acma:Game: Saigo no Kagi (Acma:Game: The Final Key). The film is set to hit theaters on October 25th, bringing back the beloved cast from the TV series.

Fans can expect to see familiar faces like Shōtarō Mamiya as Teruasa Oda and Juri Tanaka from the group SixTONES playing the role of Ui Saitō. The film is directed by Tōya Satō, who also directed the TV series, and features a screenplay by Yoshihiro Izumi and Junichirō Taniguchi.

The story picks up where the series left off, following the characters as they battle for the final devil’s key. Filming took place not only in Japan but also in overseas locations, adding an exciting twist to the production.

Acma:Game first premiered on NTV in April and quickly gained popularity, streaming in over 150 countries with subtitles in eight languages. The manga, which follows the story of high school senior Teruasa Oda caught in a dangerous game, was originally serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine.

Artist Megumi and story creator Meebu captivated readers with their thrilling story, which ended in 2017 with the release of the 22nd volume of the manga. English-speaking fans can also enjoy the manga through Kodansha’s K MANGA service.

Overall, Acma:Game: Saigo no Kagi promises to be a thrilling continuation of the TV series, with the film set to bring the story to new heights. Fans can look forward to seeing their favorite characters back in action and unraveling the mysteries of the devil’s key. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting new chapter in the Acma:Game universe.
